My time with Down Syndrome Connection of NWA was a truly meaningful experience that provided me with valuable opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. As an intern, I had the chance to meet and connect with employees from several well-known businesses in the NWA area. I also participated in a number of annual events, witnessing firsthand the dedication and hard work this incredible group pours into everything they do. One of the most rewarding parts of my experience was getting to know the families who are at the heart of this amazing organization. Their stories and strength left a lasting impact on me. Working alongside Lindsay and Nicole was a privilege. Not only did I gain important skills for my future career, but I also walked away with cherished friendships and unforgettable memories. Down Syndrome Connection of NWA is truly a special place to learn, grow, and connect.

My experience as an intern with Down Syndrome Connection was truly incredible. I had the honor and privilege of working alongside some of the most amazing families and dedicated directors. Throughout this internship, I learned more than I ever imagined—gaining a deeper understanding of Down syndrome and feeling far more equipped to support and advocate for individuals with developmental differences. This opportunity offered me a whole new perspective on life. Not only did I engage directly with families, but I also contributed to a lasting resource by helping build the foundation for the Member Resource Library on the organization's website. I conducted in-depth research to provide accessible, meaningful information that could benefit both individuals with Down syndrome and their families. This experience has left a lasting impact on me, and I hope others can gain as much from this organization as I have!
